Stafford Inspection & Consulting Services, LLC is an IAS accredited lumber grading and certification agency, providing mill monitoring services to lumber mills and remanufacturing facilities. The SIWP grade mark on lumber assures you that the manufacture and grading of the lumber has been performed using industry recognized standards and the highest quality control practices.

The Stafford Inspection HT mark on lumber identifies the lumber as Heat Treated in accordance with the ISPM 15 requirements. HT marked lumber is required for manufacture of wood packaging materials and dunnage for export shipments. Stafford Inspection monitors the production of HT lumber to verify that the required temperatures and times were maintained to sterilize the wood.

Stafford Inspection also has IAS accreditation for our Structural Building Log Grading Rules and Certification Services, providing building code accepted log grade marking services to log home manufacturers or individuals.

In addition to HT and grade monitoring at the wood manufacturing facility, Stafford Inspection provides inspection and/or certification services to companies or individuals who purchase or use wood products. These services are available to verify conformance to purchase requirements or to meet goverment standards, project regulations or local building codes.

Stafford Inspection also provides in-structure inspections of wood components for: independent evaluation of wood and/or construction quality, evaluation of damage to a structure due to insects, decay, or fire, and for rehabilitation projects on existing structures.
